Ubuntu/Windows 10 Dual Boot Tutorial

This tutorial will begin with starting on a completely empty wiped machine, with no OS installed.

For the best effect, please follow these instructions in order.

YOU WILL NEED:
A copy of windows 10 on a CD or USB drive

An empty working PC

A copy of Ubuntu on CD-DCD or USB drive (download links will be posted below)

Step 1: Insert the windows 10 installation media, and boot up the PC.

Step 2: Strike the boot menu key (It will show up on posting by default) and boot from USB or Disc drive.

Step 3: Follow the on screen instructions to install Windows 10.

Once you have finished this, and Windows 10 is booting and running fine, you will want to repeat this process with your Ubuntu installation media drive, but slightly different as follows:

Step 4: Insert the Ubuntu Installation media device and boot from the device once again.

Step 5: Follow the instructions on screen to install Ubuntu, but select the dual boot option, then use the partitioning tool to partition a space onto the hard drive for where you are going to install it to. Or alternatively, you can install it onto a USB drive if the drive is big enough to support the full installation. To do this, select the install hard drive location to the USB drive that you wish to install it to.
